Under which conditions is a fitness for sea service definitely excluded?
Unfit for sea service is someone who, among other things,
- has very low visual acuity,
- has red-green colour blindness (deck department and technical department),
- is severely physically impaired (e.g. not able to perform self-rescue),
- takes medication or has health impairments that substantially impair physically and mentally,
- has a body mass index over 40 kg/m2,
- has an infectious intestine disease and works in the kitchen or in catering.
