Hazardous substances (HNS)

Currently, compulsory insurance exists for damage caused by oil pollution (bunker oil or oil as bulk cargo), for carriage of passengers by sea as well as for the removal of wrecks. You must carry a corresponding certificate on board. Compulsory insurance for carriage of hazardous and noxious substances under the HNS Convention will be introduced in the future.
