Content of the video

The video shows the recovery of a person from the water using the example of a new recovery device (“RLS - Rescue Star”) which was developed for the professional use aboard cargo and passenger ships. The mock rescue “man overboard” shown in the film was done on an 8.000 TEU-class container ship west of the Bay of Biscay in heavy seas. This reportage-style video visually presents the mode of operation and the use of new prototypes to rescue persons from the water including in heavy seas and on ships with high freeboards.
