Issuance of certificates for (former) navy soldiers
If (former) navy soldiers wish to obtain certificates for service on merchant ships, the BSH will recognize the qualifications acquired in the Navy under certain conditions. The BSH and the Navy Office have regulated this recognition in an agreement (in German only).
The implementing regulations (in German only) for the agreement contain more detailed information on the requirements and the process of recognition.
Application form
Please note the following:
- You must send your application to the BSH by post or fax (applications by e-mail are not possible).
- For the sake of environment: Please send your application to BSH without plastic envelopes or folders.
